As a personal trainer and self taught raw and beauty food consultant I get asked quite frequently, what are Best Diet Plans that work? Well this is a broad question. There are so many diets out there that claim to help you lose weight and keep it off. Theres Weight Watchers, Atkins, Jenny Craig, the Mediterranian diet and much, much more. One thing that I have found out through years of dieting and going back and forth with my weight is that diets that work seem to have a common theme.
#1- Diets that work have to be something that you can stick to for the rest of your life, otherwise the weight will come back when you decide to return to your normal eating pattern. So choose an eating plan based off of foods that you enjoy.
#2-Diets that work center around fresh, raw vegetables and fruit. Vegetables and fruit, especially raw and organic are needed not only to lose weight, but to help you fight disease and be beautiful. You want to avoid diets that have you eating prepackaged meals that are frozen and full of preservatives, they may help you lose weight, but you will add to your disease and feel crappy.
#3-Diets that work include at least 20-30 minutes of exercise. When you lose weight, you want to also tone up, otherwise, you may lose weight, but, not really gain any muscle tone. Make sure that you are including exercise in your diet at least 3 to 6 times per week.
#4-Diets that work also include tons of recipes. One thing about starting a plan is that it takes preperation and it also involves making things that you like. When you prepare your food at home, you have control over what is put in the food and it turns out healthier. This can be alot of fun! You’ll find that once you start making recipes from foods that are centered around fresh, whole foods, you will feel better and you will also find that you can find creative things to do with foods that are good for you. Your whole family will start to enjoy your healthy creations! Your friends will start to wonder what it is that you are doing to look so great. You don’t need expensive meal delivery services or pre processed, frozen lean cuisine meals. They may help you lose weight, but all these preservatives will also make you look old. What’s the point of being skinny if you look like an old lady! So in conclusion, make your own diet based around raw fresh fruits and vegetables. You will lose weight fast and look younger!
